General Assembly and Demonstration this Thursday

Information for english-speaking students

Housing shortage and overcrowded lecture halls

The study conditions in Darmstadt are getting increasingly worse. Wherease
last year still existed a few and expensive flats, the today's housing
market totally crashed down. Also overcrowded lecture halls should be an
exception, but as we can recognize, it is our daily habit.

Therefore we invite you to a plenary meeting of all students in front of
the Karo 5 building on the 17th of November at 9.30 a.m.

Here we want to demonstrate the grievance in our university, we want to
discuss and afford a common change.

After the plenary meeting there is a demonstration on the Luisenplatz at
11 a.m.
More information: http://www.komitee-darmstadt.de/
Get involved and show that you are not satisfied with the current conditions. The demonstration will start at 11 am at the Luisenplatz.
Since we have been asked: The demonstration is registered with the city and the police. They have to make sure that everyone who is interested is able to participate and does not experience disadvantages due to his/her participation.
Especially foreign students often fear problems with their visa. There is no reason to be frightened because in Germany everyone has the right to protest. There are no disadvantages in participating.
