Besser spät als nie... endlich hat es auch der RMV in Hessen geschafft, eine Upgrade-Lösung für Studierende zu ermöglichen.

Neue Informationen [Stand September 2023]:

- alle laufenden Abos werden mit Ende des Semesters gekündigt 

- ab dem 1.10. kann man sich erneut anmelden und das Upgrade verlängern

Alle wichtigen Infos: 

· Berechtigt zum Erwerb/Besitz des Upgrades sind nur immatrikulierte Studierende im Besitz eines gültigen RMV-Semestertickets

· Das Angebot ist freiwillig und ist vom Nutzer selbst zu zahlen

· Das Upgrade kostet pro Monat: 26,46 € EUR (D-TICKET Preis (monatlich) - RMV-Semesterticketpreis/6)

· Zu Anfang ist als Zahlungsmittel nur SEPA möglich  - wir bemühen uns im Laufes des Junis weitere Zahlungsmöglichkeiten (PayPal und Kreditkarte) hinzuzufügen

· Als Upgrade wird ein Deutschlandticket ausgegeben. Das Deutschlandticket unterliegt den allgemeinen Tarifbestimmungen und ist deutschlandweit in der 2.Klasse im Nah-und Regionalverkehr gültig.

· Das Upgrade kann jederzeit auch noch für den laufenden Monat erworben werden

· Das Upgrade ist nur als HandyTicket erhältlich

· Das Upgrade wird als Abonnement mit monatlicher Kündigungsmöglichkeit angeboten

· Gekündigt werden kann jeweils bis zum letzten Tag eines jeden Monats

· Keine Verrechnung eines laufenden Monats bei vorzeitiger Kündigung möglich

· Bei Nicht Kündigung endet das Upgrade jeweils spätestens am Ende des jeweiligen Semesters

· Jeweils zu Beginn eines Semesters muss das Upgrade neu erworben werden

· Zu Kontrollzwecken ist zusätzlich das aktuelle RMV-Semesterticket (euer Studi-Ausweis, nicht die Athene-Card!) und ein Lichtbildausweis mitzuführen

Better late than never... finally the RMV in Hesse has managed to provide an upgrade solution for students.
The link for the registration will be published here as soon as the RMV sends it to us (probably on 30.05.). The ticket to be purchased then will be valid already from 01.06.

new information [september 2023]:

- All current subscriptions are cancelled at the end of the semester. 

- from 1.10. one can register again and extend the upgrade

All important information: 

- Only enrolled students in possession of a valid RMV semester ticket are entitled to purchase/own the upgrade.

- The offer is voluntary and has to be paid by the user himself/herself

- The upgrade costs per month: 26,46 € EUR (D-TICKET price (monthly) - RMV-Semester ticket price/6)

- At the beginning only SEPA is possible - we will try to add more payment methods (PayPal and credit card) in June.

- As an upgrade, a Deutschlandticket will be issued. The Deutschlandticket is subject to the general tariff regulations and is valid throughout Germany in 2nd class on local and regional trains.

- The upgrade can be purchased at any time for the current month.

- The upgrade is only available as a mobile ticket on your phone

- The upgrade is offered as a subscription with the option of monthly cancellation.

- Cancellation is possible until the last day of each month

- No billing of a current month possible in case of early cancellation

- If not cancelled, the upgrade ends at the end of the respective semester at the latest.

- The upgrade must be purchased again at the beginning of each semester.

- For control purposes, the current RMV semester ticket (your student ID, not the Athene Card!) and a photo ID must also be carried.
