Dear fellow students,
you can now apply for a refund of the difference between your semester ticket and the 9-Euro-Ticket at
by entering your IBAN. Applications via the portal are possible until 31.10.2022.
In the following, we will try to answer the most frequently asked questions:
Q: How is the refund amount calculated?
A: In total, each TU student paid 128,99 € for 6 months of semester ticket. The 9-Euro-Ticket is only valid for 3 months. Therefore, the difference of three months semester ticket (128,99 € / 2 = 64,49 €) and three months 9-Euro-Ticket (total 27 €) will be refunded, resulting in 128,99 € / 2 - 27 € = 37,49 €. For Medizintechnik, the same calculation applies, which then results in 84,40 € in the end.
Q: How do I know that my data has been entered successfully?
A: You will receive a confirmation mail from us to your @stud.tu-darmstadt.de mail address.
Q: When will the money be transferred?
A: We try to transfer the money as soon as possible, but we also have an order limit at our bank, so it may take some time. Again, you will receive a mail as soon as your transfer has been ordered. From this mail on, it should not take longer than 14 days.
Q: I don't have a bank account with an IBAN. What can I do?
A: The easiest way is to ask a friend of yours if you can supply her account and she will forward the money to you. If this is not possible, write to us at and we will try to find a solution.
Q: I'm studying a course of studies in cooperation with the Goethe University of Frankfurt, e.g. Medizintechnik, Politische Theorie or ISFK?
A: The reimbursement is done by the AStA of the university you transfered the semester fee to. In short: For Medizintechnik, you'll get the reimbursement from us. The Goethe AStA is responsible for every other cooperation course of studies.
Q: I'm not able to log in because my TU-ID was deactivated (e.g. because of exmatriculation). How do I get my money?
A: Please send us an email at with the following information: Firstname, Lastname, Matriculation Number; and for the wire transfer: Account Owner, IBAN, BIC.
