Resolution: Solidarity with the residents of Ukraine

The student body of TU Darmstadt expresses its solidarity with the residents of Ukraine and the democratic opposition in Russia.
In recent weeks, the Russian military has amassed around 150,000 troops on the Ukrainian border. In eastern Ukraine, where the hostilities have
clashes have never completely ceased since 2014, violence is currently on the rise.

In view of these circumstances, the TU Darmstadt student body expresses its solidarity with all citizens of Ukraine who, after 2014, are once again living in constant fear of war with Russia. The student body condemns the violation of Ukrainian sovereignty by the Russian Federation.
Against the background of the threat of immeasurable suffering and displacement in Ukraine, the student body protests against Russian aggression and calls on all democratic forces to do the same!
Justification:
Against the backdrop of an impending war in Europe and on the fringes of the European Union and the inconsistency of the territorial dimensions of such a war, it is a democratic duty to protest. Therefore, may the student parliament adopt the above resolution.
